Heat Exchanger Inspection
Early detection of failures and preventive maintenance are considered by most of the people as necessary and money saving operation.
Central cooling and air-condition units are commonly used in industrial and office buildings as well in computer centers, hotels hospitals and more.

The cooling is done by heat transfer between many tubes and main cooling water flow while the tubes are carrying cold gas and the main flow water goes to the cooled system such as apartments, rooms etc.

The tubes with a thin wall thickness - about 1 mm, are susceptible to corrosion and abrasion, longitudinal cracks and transverse cracks.

A pin-hole leak in one of the hundreds and thousands of tubes may cause a severe damage to the compressor and the whole system. Therefore, owners and maintenance companies, asking for a reliable test that will be able to detect small pin-holes, cracks as well as deterioration of the wall thickness alerting for a need for repair.

The company provides testing of heat exchanger tubes, made of non magnetic tubes such as Cupper, Titanium and SS 300 series with a diameter of 1/2"- 1", finned or un-finned. The test is done by an impedance plane Eddy current unit capable of inserting 30 feet of probe, recording the data and analyze double frequency test used to eliminate the baffle effect on the readings.

Testing of 400 tubes may last a day providing the exchanger is open and the tubes interior is cleaned.
