Ships & Barges:
Ship structures in construction stage and in service are inspected with Magnetic Particle inspection, Visual Inspection, Radiography or Ultrasonic if permitted by the applicable standard: in order to detect delaminations in rolled sheets, internal welding defects as cracks, lack of penetration, porosity, undercutting etc.
Marine

Submarines:
Full spectrum of NDT inspection on structure and hardware including Radiography, Ultrasonic, Magnetic Particle Inspection, Liquid Penetrants Acoustic Emission and Leak testing .

Cranes & Shipyards:
Cranes & Shipyards are inspected with the following methods: Magnetic Particle Inspection, Visual Inspection, Radiography or Ultrasonic if permitted by the applicable standard in order to detect internal welding defects as cracks, lack of penetration, porosity, undercutting etc.

Offshore pipelines
With the ageing of pipelines and risers and an increased operators awareness of environmental risks there is a growing interest to perform internal inspections.
Applus (RTD) Group provides ultrasonic inspections with tethered tools and specializes in solutions to perform surveys in the so-called "unpiggable" pipelines. Examples of such are:
Submarine (off)-loading pipelines to monobuoys
Risers on off-shore platforms
Vertical casings
Steel Catenery Risers

The pipeline integrity is determined using ultrasonic inspections. Inspection results consist of details on internal and/or external corrosion, pipe wall thickness, pipe geometry, cracks. In most cases such pipelines cannot be inspected with standard "free-swimming" intelligent pigs. Flow is often restricted or deployment of such tools is considered to risky as many of such pipelines are the installation's lifeline. This is the area where tethered tools are used.

To cope with the many different circumstances a variety of tools is available:
PIT for inspection of off-loading pipelines, diameters 16" to 60", lengths up to 17 km
PumpPIT for inspection pipelines, diameters 6"- 16", lengths up to 10 km
RiserPIT for inspection of platform risers, diameters 4" - 42", maximum coverage depending on lay-out, may be up to 10 km
CasingPIT for vertical casings in underground cavern storage, diameters 20-36", depth up to 800 m
The tools is tailored to pass bends, Tees, dents and ovalities.
